plasticbag : John Gisby's headed over to Channel 4. He's a nice chap who I rate and wish all the best at his new job. - Channel 4 seem to be assembling quite an interesting team of people, including quite a lot of my favourite ex-BBC-ers. Very different structure by all accounts. Interested to see what happens there.

Rod Begbie : Channel4.com - IT Crowd - Channel 4 are streaming the first episode of Graham Linehan's new sitcom. It's good, but not great, but then I didn't think the first episodes of either Father Ted or Black Books were all that good, but the series turned out to be fantastic. #

plasticbag : Channel 4's two-part series, "Root of Evil" sees Richard Dawkins talk about his understanding of the dangers of religious thinking - I'm watching the show and - as usual - I'm stunned by what I see as the credulity of religious people in defiance of all reason. But I'm also noticing that Dawkins is not a sympathetic character, his rationality manifesting quite aggressively...
deusx : Channel 4 - Can you believe it? - The Real Exorcists - "Richard Dawkins is astounded that religious faith is gaining ground in the face of rational, scientific truth based on hard evidence."

plasticbag : Channel 4 rapped over 'Lost' ad breaks - Sixty-four minutes of apparent programming contained only thirty-six minutes of new editorial content. I buy Channel 4's excuse a bit, but it's still a shame - bad advertising spaces and overlong breaks make shows less watchable. It hurts them in the end.

plasticbag : More 4 launches October 10th in the UK, and has a really bloody odd logo - The advertising for this channel has been stunning. I just wish I understood why every organisation doesn't put their ads online. It seems like such a no brainer...

plasticbag : Beautiful new idents and branding for Channel 4 - Some stuff here that's so clearly been heavily influenced by Flash-based web design, and some other stuff that you couldn't do in any other medium. Stunning.

plasticbag : Anatomy for beginners - Channel 4 TV series in which a human corpse is dissected in front of a camera. Gross more because of the way it is handled - bluntly, like a butcher - than because of the subject matter itself...

plasticbag : Specially commissioned Simpsons animation to run against the Queen's speech according to BBC News. The Radio Times' site separately describes it as follows: - "The world's most dysfunctional family deliver a counterpoint to the Queen's traditional broadcast, with Marge Simpson and the rest of the clan giving their view of the year. Lisa takes the opportunity to make a protest on behalf of Cornish liberation."

plasticbag : Is Sex Inspectors the creepiest show on TV? - They get people to film themselves having a shag, sometimes in infrared to not be - you know - too disturbing or anything, and then give them advice on ways to masturbate and stuff. And this weird presenter woman watches it all!
